Research Agenda

SITE’s inaugural Research Agenda will draw from the Sindh School Education & Literacy Department’s priorities, the National Education Policy Framework 2024, and the School Education Sector Plan (2019–24). It will focus on producing actionable evidence across three levels—policy, teacher education, and classroom practice.

Innovative Pedagogy and Reflective Practice

• Investigating how inquiry-based, experiential, and collaborative learning can enhance teacher effectiveness.
• Developing reflective practice frameworks and mentoring models for teacher educators.

Digital Transformation in Education

• Evaluating the impact of digital and AI-assisted tools on teacher training and classroom engagement.
• Developing digital literacy frameworks for teacher education institutions.
• Documenting successful low-cost technology integration pilots.

Language, Equity, and Access

• Researching the relationship between language of instruction, comprehension, and learning outcomes.
• Supporting policy dialogues on multilingual education.
• Designing bilingual resources and translanguaging pedagogies.

Curriculum, Assessment, and Learning Outcomes

• Assessing alignment of teacher education curricula with classroom needs.
• Co-developing curriculum innovations and localized teaching materials.
• Conducting studies on formative and competency-based assessment models.

Policy, Leadership, and Institutional Development

• Conducting policy reviews, longitudinal studies, and needs assessments on teacher management, school leadership, and institutional effectiveness.
• Evaluating the impact of SITE-led capacity-building programs on provincial teacher quality indicators.
