Sindh Institute of Teacher Education
Research > Vision and Objectives
Research is central to the mandate and identity of the Sindh Institute of Teacher Education (SITE). As the province’s apex body for teacher education and professional development, SITE recognizes that sustainable educational reform depends on systematic inquiry, evidence-based decision-making, and the generation of contextually relevant knowledge.

Vision and Objectives

The overarching vision for research at SITE is:
To create a culture of evidence-informed practice, policy, and innovation in teacher education that improves learning outcomes for all children in Sindh.

This vision will be achieved through the following objectives:

Institutionalizing research governance and ethics, ensuring quality, transparency, and accountability.

Strengthening teacher education research capacity among faculty, researchers, and teacher educators across Sindh.

Translating research into practice through structured dissemination, integration into curricula, and policy dialogue.

Generating contextually relevant research that addresses key provincial education priorities—such as literacy, numeracy, multilingualism, equity, digital learning, and teacher effectiveness.

Promoting school-based inquiry and action research, enabling teachers to become reflective practitioners.

Fostering partnerships with universities, NGOs, and development partners to strengthen the evidence base for education reform.
